Q

need access to an article

Greetings,

I need to access an article for a course I'm teaching. It seems as though
Trinity does not have access to the journal I need.

Please advise.

Answer

Hello,

Options are available for obtaining an article from a journal when it is not available online in full text or the library does not have a print subscription to the journal.  We provide interlibrary loan, which allows us to obtain a copy of the article for you, or to borrow a book from another library if it is unavailable in our library.

Go to the library homepage (lib.trinity.edu) and click on the link to Interlibrary Loan. Use your Trinity userid/password to log on and register for ILLIAD, our interlibrary loan service. After registering log on and under New Requests select article and provide the needed information regading the journal article you are requesting.

We are normally able to supply a copy of the article within 24 to 48 hours. You will receive an email notifying you of the receipt of the article and a link that will take you to a pdf copy of the article.

Please let us know if you have any questions regarding interlibrary loan service. If you place the request today, you will probably recieve the article sometime tomorrow.
