Q

How do I login to Ebscohost on a tablet or other wireless device?

I am attempting to access a few ebooks through the library page that are hosted on Ebscohost. When linked to Ebscohost, it requires me to login before being able to download any ebook. Is there a Trinity specific login for this or would I use my university login?

Answer

The EBSCO ebook platform will require you to create an account specifically with EBSCO, and log in to that account before downloading ebook content. Look for the "Create a new account" link either on the result page for the ebook you're attempting to access, or in the upper right of the EBSCO OneSearch page. Once you have an account and are logged in, you'll be able to access ebooks seamlessly for the rest of time you have the browser open. The next time you go online to access EBSCO ebooks, you'll only need to log in to your EBSCO account to gain access to the full text of ebooks.

Bear in mind that (unfortunately), this EBSCO log in is in addition to the log in you'll be prompted to complete when accessing library materials from off campus, which will use your TU credentials.
