Q

Can I reserve room 100.4 in the library for a study meeting?

I am trying to reserve a space in the library for Sigma Theta Tau's orientation study hours on Sundays beginning Feb. 8th through Mar. 1st. There will be about 25-27 people at each meeting. If this room is not reservable, is there another area in the library that can be reserved and will fit this number of people? Thanks for your help!!

Answer

Catherine,

I'm very sorry but we cannot reserve the 100.4, space and I do not have another room available in the library that can be reserved. 100.4 is only reserved by librarians for Information Literacy Instruction with classes. The remainder of the time it is often used as a general space for study by students, but I cannot reserve the space. There are areas in the library where there are study tables and your group might use one of those areas but again, I cannot reserve an area. Also, just a note that do to feedback from students, we have designated the 1st and 2nd floors of the library as quiet floors for study.

Again, I'm sorry I cannot help you with your request for a room. Please let me know if you have any questions, or concerns.

Best,
