Q

Accessing a full length article

Hello,
I am working on a term paper for endocrinology and need access to a paper
but I'm not sure how to get it. The article is:

Androgenic-anabolic steroid effects on serum thyroid, pituitary and steroid
hormones in athletes.

It is in the American Journal of Sports Medicine; is there any way to
access it through Trinity or for the library to acquire it somehow?

Answer

There are two ways to search for your title. If you start at our webpage, lib.trinity.edu, and put the article title in the One Search box, it will bring up your article with a link to Fulltextfinder. This link will show the library holdings of the journal. In this case, we own American Journal of Sports Medicine. Sometimes this works great, other times it will bring up too many results.

The other way to search is to click on Journal link on the top of our webpage and seach by journal title. The resuslts will show whether we own the volume or if it is available through one of our databases.

In your case, we do own the journal. You have the option of coming to the library to scan or photocopy the article or you can enter it as an Interlibary Loan request and we will scan it for you (it may take a couple of days). The link to Interlibrary Loan is also on our website.

However, I will treat your question as a request and we will scan the article for your right now.
