Membership Card

As an alumnus, I was wondering what the process is of getting a library membership card. Thank you.

Answer

Hello,

The first step is to get an alumni card from the Tiger Card office which is located on campus in the breezeway just below the George Storch Building. You can contact them at 999-7825 with any questions you might have regarding the card.

Once you have the card, come to the Circulation Desk at the library and they will see that you are entered into the system and ready to go. I'm also including a link to a libguide that will give you more information regarding circulation policies for alumni.

Also available to alumni is a special alumni account for the JSTOR database, providing full text access to journal articles. To logon to the database you will be asked for a password, which you can get from the Reference Help Desk, now located at the Circulation Desk. We are not able to offer off campus usage of other databases due to subscription issues. You are welcome to come to the library and access other databases if you want to use them. However, you can search the library catalog off campus at any time. Just remember to click on the "BOOK" link at the top of the page, or if you use the One Search box in the center of the page, check the catalog only box.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
