As a San Antonio Public Librarian, can I get borrowing privileges at Trinity?

Yes, through the TexShare program, assuming that the SAPL system still participates.  (Check your home institution for specific TexShare policies.)  Trinity's loan policies governing public TexShare check-outs can be found at the link below.

  1. At one time, area librarians had borrowing privileges just by providing proof of status from the employing library. Is this no longer true? Another question, do I need to come in to fill out a special researchers application or is it available online to fill out?

  2. No, the CORAL lending program (to which you allude) is no longer in effect. Special Researcher applications represent a different patron category than TexShare borrowers, and the application is not yet available online; it must be obtained in person at our circulation desk.
